Nerja is a picturesque coastal resort, popular all year round. Surrounded by the stunning Sierra Almijara mountain range and boasting several attractive beaches. Nerja used to be a sleepy fishing village which has now grown to a population of over 12,000, yet it has still retained much of its charm and fortunately has resisted a lot of development.

Nerja town is typically Andalusian, so sit back with a coffee in one of its many pretty plazas and soak up the culture.  A visit the Caves of Nerja is a must, one of Spain’s most popular historical sites and home to the world’s largest stalagmite, a 32 metre high column. Nerja also offers theatre and concerts at its Cultural Centre. Aquaveliz

Looking for a day of family fun? Just 15 minutes from Nerja you’ll find Aquavelis water park, near Torre del Mar. Popular with families, this water park has eight slides, two large swimming pools, and a wave machine. Discover the magnificent Cuevas de Nerja. Stretching for almost 5 kilometres, the caverns are one of Spain’s major tourist attractions.
